Gloucester Cruises and Boat Hire
All Aboard for a 45-minute Boat Trip

You can enhance your visit to the museum with a 45-minute boat trip along the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, making the most of your visit to Gloucester Docks. Our boats are operated by qualified and experienced skippers who provide an historical commentary on the canal with information on how the waterway is used today.

From April - October, regular sailings depart from the Museum quayside Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays and daily during school holidays. Additional sailings may be available please contact the museum for details 01452 318200:

  • Saturday, Sunday & bank holidays - 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm
  • School holidays - daily at 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm

Prices:

  • Adults - £4.75
  • Concessions - £4.00
  • Children - £3.50
  • Under 5s - Free
  • Family - £15 (two adults & two children)

Additional Sunset Supper Cruise on 27th August,
Depart from the Museum at 7.00pm and return at 10.00pm. Cost £18.00 which includes supper of Roast Ham or Vegetarian Quiche served with Hot New Potatoes, Coleslaw, Pasta Salad, Tomato & Onion Salad, loose leaf salad and bread roll.


Private Boat Hire

To add the 'wow' factor to your special event, why not hold it aboard one of our hire boats so you and your guests can enjoy a trip along the canal or River Severn at the same time.

Queen Boadicea II has an important place in our history. She was one of the ‘little ships’ of Dunkirk whose services were used in May 1940 when she took part in the evacuation of troops from the beaches of Dunkirk.
