Away in their constantly moving, floating worlds, boat people developed a style of crafts and boat decorations all of their own.
Each of these Sundays a selection of these unique crafts will be demonstrated at the museum, including boatman's belt embroidery, bonnet making, cabin crochet, canal ware painting, rag rugging, patchwork, leather belt making, and lace plate decoration.
Canal craft demonstrations are organised by the Boat Museum Society and take place upstairs in the Island Warehouse during normal museum opening hours.
