Horses used to be part of every day life for many people, from canal families to farmers and from coachmen to docker workers. Whether you were transporting goods or people it was horsepower that did the work for you.
From a horsedrawn canal boat to a horse and wagon, and from heavy horses to ponies, you'll be able to see horses at work and get up close to them too. And we'll be looking into the lives of canal families too with canal craft and boating demonstrations and more.
