If you are arriving at the museum by boat you will find British Waterways' visitor moorings in the upper basin adjacent the disabled parking area. Having moored here you should contact the Museum's reception, open 10am-5pm daily, to confirm where to moor if staying overnight.
Visiting boats are usually directed to the lower basin, through two sets of Whitby Locks that are situated within the Museum complex.
Visiting boaters are charged at the normal museum admission rates, which gives up to seven days moorings at the Museum.
Current admission charges are:
Adults £5.50
Concessions £4.50
Children £3.50
Family Ticket(two adults and up to three children) £19.00
Dogs are welcome on site, but they must be kept on a lead during the Museum's opening hours. Dogs are not permitted within the Museum's galleries and cafe area.
The Museum does not have diesel or pump out facilities. If these are required it is suggested that visitors stop en route at Chas Harden's Boat Yard in Beeston. Fresh water and refuse facilities are available.
