From building a coracle to taking part in a costume drama, the National Waterways Museum Ellesmere Port offers a wide rande of hands-on learning opportunities for students of all ages.

Our courses can be tailored to meet your requirements and we are happy to welcome groups who have planned their own activities.

To discuss yur visit and learning requirements please either email our Education Department or call the team on 0151 355 5017.

When planning a visit, we appreciate that site knowledge and awareness is essential and we are therefore happy to offer you a free planning visit. During this visit you will be able to meet with our Education Officer to discuss your requirements, tour the site and view the resources available for your students.

During your visit, it is possible to combine one or more of the learning activities, tours and/or boat trips outlined below. Please discuss your preferences with our Education Officer who will advise you as to what is appropriate for your requriements and visit duration.
