The National Waterways Museum is operated by The Waterways Trust, a UK-wide charity dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the nation’s waterways heritage and its canals and rivers.
Our focus is on people, helping them to appreciate the contemporary value of historic waterways and to benefit from the recreation and learning opportunities that they offer. We also help to conserve and interpret the historic and natural environment.
The Trust encourages people from all walks of life to discover canals and rivers and take part in waterway events and activities.
