Volunteering your time to assist with our work is very valuable to us. There are many ways volunteers can help - from working at events and exhibitions to participating in fundraising activities or guiding visitors around our museum sites.
People from a wide variety of backgrounds volunteer and a range of skills are needed. As a volunteer, you will make a huge contribution to the work of the Trust and our museums.
The type of opportunities currently available include:
• Explaining the history and development of our waterways to museum visitors
• Assisting with arts and crafts activities at museum events
• Taking part in environmental projects out on our waterways
